We like to talk to our customers before they have started their design. The optimum housing solution for their application will dictate the size and shape of the circuit board. Even the first hand-soldered circuit board should be designed with a few simple layout rules in mind.
We tailor bespoke solutions for our design customers. These can be full-custom designs of plastic moldings or machined-from-solid billet, but will normally be semi-custom designs based on existing extrusions that we hold in stock.
We generate machine code from the solid models which allows us to manufacture prototypes that directly reflect the models. Existing customers usually send us the circuit boards and parts, or visit us with them and then we make up a prototype within an agreed time frame – usually one or two weeks.
We hold pre-anodized lengths of extrusion and sheet metal. This allows us to reduce manufacturing time and accelerate prototyping. We have spent 30 years ensuring the highest quality possible, particularly for extrusions, sheet metal and anodizing.

Phaedrus Audio has launched a new range of audio equipment for recording engineers. They are “retro” in look and contain valve designs for that lovely sound, but are compatible with modern digital recording methods. Lincoln Binns is proud to have been associated with manufacturing this product and with Phaedrus co-owner Ian Titmuss for over 15[…]
Sculpted End Plates We’ve always wondered, what comes first; practicality or design? When we designed our Uniobox enclosures, both practicality and design were in mind. We created a striking aluminum extrusion that is extremely functional with its various internal mounting slots and is also visually appealing. So much so that it would appear to be the extrusion[…]
‘Unexpected’ Extreme Test – Take Two Our good friends at Hocus Products released an image of one of their products, the Axis 1, after a small mishap at 50 mph. The extreme test was not planned! Using our E-Case A aluminum enclosure, this particular Axis 1 was involved in a camera car crash. Hocus report[…]
