Self-Tapping Screw and Thread-Forming Screws Are Available For The E-Case
A self-tapping screw is a screw that can tap its own hole as it’s driven into the aluminum of our enclosures. A regular machine screw cannot tap its own hole. The self-tapping ability is often created by cutting a gap in the continuity of the thread on the screw, generating a flute and cutting edge similar to those on tap.
There are two screw types for the E-Case available:
A No.4 self-tapping screw, which comes with a Philips head
SC8 – silver, bag of 8 off screws
SC400 – silver, bag of 400 off screws
SCB8 – black, bag of 8 off screws
SCB400 – black, bag of 400 off screws
A M3 thread-forming screw, which comes with a Torx head

SCT400 – silver, bag of 400 off screws
SCTB8 – black, bag of 8 off screws
