Engineering for our future – Part 1
The Lincoln Binns sponsored Ardingly Solar Car took part in a parade through Lindfield village High Street on Saturday and was subsequently installed in a stand at the village show. Director John Binns was on hand to polish the solar cells using a high-tech micro-fibre cloth (a paper hanky from the bottom of his wife’s hand bag) prior to the parade. Once on the stand, swarms of mini future-engineers clambered over the vehicle and undertook rigorous testing to see if any parts would come off.
Ardingly College is a supporter of the STEM initiative to encourage young people to pursue careers in science and engineering, and so are we.
Engineering for our future – part 2 includes another student based project based in the USA.
