How to assemble your Lincoln Binns Raspberry Pi Case
The step-by-step guide on how to assemble your Lincoln Binns Raspberry Pi case. What you will need to assemble the case.
Torx T20 screw driver
Phillips screw driver
Remove all components from the packaging
Take the mounting plates, stand off’s and four smaller Phillips headed screws.
Place two of the screws through the two holes on the Raspberry Pi board. On the reverse of the board, screw the two stand off’s to the screws.
Take the mounting plate and line up the stand off’s with the two holes. With the last two smaller screws attach the mounting plate to the Pi board.
Take the side extrusion which accommodates the HDMI connector and the end plate that has the holes for the USB ports and Ethernet connector.
Use two of the Torx headed screws and secure these two components together.
Slide the Raspberry Pi and attached mounting plate into the half constructed case. The HDMI connector should like up with equal spacing around it when viewed through the extrusion. If it isn’t, you might have the mounting plate on the wrong internal slot.
With the final piece of side extrusion, attach this to the case making sure the Audio and visual connectors are aligned correctly. Use another two of the Torx screws to fix this piece it its final position.
Included in the kit are two top and bottom plates. If in silver, they will have a plastic coating attached which you will need to peel off. Once you’ve done this, simply slide one into the top recess and one into the bottom.
The remaining end plate can now be attached using the remaining 4 Torx screws. (We have used a slightly different end plate, you will only have two cut outs as opposed to this plate which has three).
